If there is one thing that I swore I would never do it would be blogging. However, for some reason I have had an interest in starting one. The new year inspired new things I guess. There was only one problem... what do I blog about? An easy choice would be baseball. Not only is that boring but that's what ESPN is for. What about everything except baseball? Perfect.
Everyone knows baseball players as exactly that: baseball players. Believe it or not we are way more than that. Nobody knows who we are or what we do away from the field. It is more or less "hazy." I get more questions from fans about what we do in the clubhouse and away from the stadium than questions about the game itself. So with that I give you "Beyond the Haze"... a blog centered around who baseball players are and what they do away from the field. Issues such as family, travel, and preparation. The good, the bad, and the ugly is all fair game. For 3 hours every night during the spring and summer we are baseball players. What about the rest of the time? I guess you will just have to read and see...
